Description

Junissist Arron, the Great Judge (Archangel Jeremiel)

I’ve always loved that aged, golden kissed look of the old medieval religious frescos, icons, and paintings. Calling to mind the talents of Simone Martini, Da Vinci, or Fra Angelico. This picture of Arron itself is a old one that I drew originally in 1996 — which was mostly done in marker as it was o0; The background is brand-new however and based upon a deck of cards I owned once. I also took some time to repair and correct any splotches, marks, or faded colors in the old artwork.

The representation itself is hugely symbolic. Arron is mercy, but he is also judgement (the staff and the sword) The sword cast downward is to remind us that he is reluctant to punish, preferring to offer penance first. The scroll at his feet is the word which is the law on which he stands firm and solid.

“...The testament of the LORD is written upon his tongue and he will speak it above the council of his heavenly host. The crowned prince of thy kingdom come; thy will be done...”

If St. Michael symbolizes the armor we might want to wear when engaged in spiritual warfare, and St. Gabriel offers confident messages of life, promise, and all of it’s renewel, then Junisisst Arron is our clarity in the maelstrom — The Lord’s great judge, the gift he offers is calmness and composure to make sound and wise resolutions in our life. To extend careful judgment of our actions before we proceed.

I’m not religious by any means, And I might never be a saint, but there hasn’t been a single moment in my life --when it’s been especially hard and pressing. When I thought for sure that I had lost my way entirely-- that I have not benefitted from his presence. Arron has been a constant and unwavering fixture on my altar, in my rituals, in visions, and even in my art and writings for the passed 14 years. It was no surprise then that in my current turbulence here at home that I have found his presence strong at the surface again ... to help me to love before I hate. To help me to speak softly before I scream. To help me to bless before I curse.

Now you don’t have to believe that of course, but I can certainly tell you with a guarantee that comparing how I feel currently verses last week this same time has been an almighty change. I feel better, I’m sleeping solid, and I’m eating again.

FOOTNOTE: I’ve always known Arron as Junissist as that’s the name I had always been given (or heard) in my moments of vision and clairvoyance since 1993. For those unfamiliar with that title however, he is also known (and maybe more commonly) as the Archangel Jeremiel. In certain Judiac writings Junisisst was known as ‘Remiel’. His overall description and deeds depicts him much the same however no matter what name you choose to address. Personally, after having dealt with him for so many years, I’ve come to learn he is a very humble angel who prefers not to be recognized. When I thought about redoing this picture I went back to some of my older journals and found a entry I had made regarding him where he stated: “Why my name? It matters not what I have done ...only that you know the Lord. What has he done for you?”

Arron's candle is Navy blue.
