UNITED ARTIST AGAINST ART THEFT

Or, the ARP (Art Ripper Police) The individual I busted recently informed other DA members who reported the art, including myself: “What are you?! Detectives?!” .. Well maybe we are. Or should be. There exist community and neighborhood watches for crimes and drugs, so why not amass a group of fellow artist and friends here at Deviant in order to help stomp out art theft?

That said, this stamp is free use for anyone (fellow artists or art appreciators) who would like to support real artist for their hard work.

I ought to start keeping a art thief record of all the times I find myself challenging this situation again and again because I said it once, I’ll say it again ---It is completely astonishing how much each one of them acts like the one before them. I’m damn serious! It’s like there was a special mold created just for them; just for art thieves and rippers. They all talk the same, act the same, and they all would much rather invest in a smattering collection of handy excuses (I heard them all so much and so many times in all sorts of assorted ways that it’s like a rerun) rather than to ever just simply apologize and do the right thing.

And that’s what my fight has always been about in the first place. Stopping with the excuses and just do the right thing: Remove the art work that you know you deserve no credit for doing!

I do NOT and will NEVER regret the actions I take in calling out rippers. As a person who has committed herself to this profession for the last 20 years, I know full well the time, dedication, and effort it takes; the long hours spent for everyone else to take 1 minute to enjoy and favorite if they like it enough. I know what it’s like to have that little callous on your thumb and finger as a result of the pencil you hold every day. I know what carpel tunnel is, and have fucked up my hands and wrist for this life more than once. This is why I call art thieves to be accountable for their actions because they do not, and should never deserve anyone’s comments about ‘How wonderful your art is.” just for the sake of stroking their own ego and desperate need for attention.
