NEW UPDATE: Geee .. guess it's for real after all. Wow -___-;
IMMEDIATE EDIT* — Report is now confirmed by LT Entertainment to be a hateful hoax. Breath deep and just enjoy the artwork for whatever it’s worth now. At least Stefán can now be positively certain that his impact on so, so many people is a true and genuine one. I literally stopped everything I was working on just to do this picture because I wanted Stefán to know just how much his fans really would have missed him.

EDIT* — I’m going to tack this footnote here just in case I have visitors that don’t read my DA journal and might only view my art, so therefore have not heard the latest news for whatever reason. This artwork was posted only a few hours before we all learned that the statement concerning Stefán Karl’s continued relationship w/ LT Entertainment was suddenly being called into serious question.
The original link to the article were first locked from further commentary late yesterday afternoon, and then the thread disappeared all together along with a complete censorship of the article by that same evening.
Because this has been done without any sort of quality and professional explanation, many of the LT community (myself included) are now very speculative about the credibility of the purposed announcement.

In light of the truth, I can say that I do not in any way now regret having drawn this picture. My feeling were completely genuine and entirely heartfelt at the time. If Stefán ever once doubted his worth to his audience, by God is it confirmed positive now! We're all so very glad you're not leaving.
( God sakes, Conan, be so grateful you weren't around to deal w/ that drama )

Maybe Stefán will change his mind. Never say never ... there’s an awful lot of theories right now and neither one of them are a wrong answer. This surprises me because I thought, for sure, Julianna would leave first. Maggi himself also stated some time ago that he couldn’t consciously just replace a character and would much rather create a whole new host of personalities with a whole new storyline should it ever happen.

I admit I've been fairly inactive in the fandom for a while now, but this still was hard news to swallow. I understand Stefan's desire to move on, I suppose, but I think he truly underestimates how integral to the show and the entire franchise he really is. Your artwork seems to capture very well how we're all feeling.
It's a sad time for the fandom.
