2015 BEST IN SHOW WINNER
“Emmett ‘Doc’ Brown”
Denver Comic Con 2015
24 X 19" 100% Cotton rag cold press
Watercolors
Chautauqua County Fair 2015
July 27 - August 2, 2015
I had been so disappointed that our engagement with and the delivery of Christopher’s painting that I had done exclusively for him for the Denver Comic Con had been unfortunately and unavoidably postponed, but that I could have it yet because of that very reason, to showcase it and come away with my second ‘BEST IN SHOW’ victory is a wonderful honor! Now I can present Doc a awesome ribbon w/ his painting.
( My first ‘BEST IN SHOW’ win came in 2012 for the acrylic painting ‘Wind & Woodsmoke’ which you can view here: fav.me/d58yolg )
ACCESS THE ARTS went ‘Back To 2015' this year @ the county fair, and what a blue ribbon streak it was! I participated in 4 categories - Watercolors, Colored Pencils, Inks, and for the first time ever in crafts w/ a set of 5 paper mache Halloween ornaments with which I not only nabbed the blue ribbon but also managed to secure the Dipson Judge’s Choice Award. A very successful first time around there and I’m delighted as well as humbled. I wasn’t able to exhibit last year due to my shoulder surgery --Not one, but two of them!-- so to come back off of that and serve once more as a mentor for the young, student talent in my area is a blessed privilege for certain.
